We are among the leading education institutions in the field of school education in Bulgaria and one of the biggest schools in the capital city with more than 1500 students and nearly 110 teachers. We proud ourselves with providing quality education in the following profiles: Humanities; Foreign languages (English, French, Russian); Science and Math and Technology.
We try to constantly adapt to the challenges our students are facing. Our teachers put a lot of efforts in providing knowledge and skills that are most needed for real life. This is an everyday process, but especially for this purpose, we introduced are extra Civic Education’s classes.
KNOW AND CAN ASSOCIATION
Know&Can is a non-governmental organization, founded in 2007 in Sofia, Bulgaria. It works on national and European projects and is developing programs, courses and activities in the sphere of non-formal and informal education and trainings.
The main goals of the Association are: to elaborate and apply specialized programs aiming to develop social and civil skills of children, youths and adults; to apply modern methods and technologies for development of non-formal education; to train specialists in the sphere of non-formal education.
The main activities of “Know and Can“ Association are: elaboration and management of own projects; participation in national and international projects and programs; organizing and cooperation in implementing regional, local, national and international events of educational character; organizing permanently held seminars, workshops, discussions and other events for exchange of ideas and good practices for popularization of non-formal education; making contacts and cooperation with state bodies and non-governmental organizations having attitude to education; organizing educational courses for specialists working in the sphere of non-traditional education; cultural and educational tourism.
Know and Can Association performs a range of non-formal courses and activities. The main objectives of these courses and activities are raising the qualification of young people and improvement of their knowledge and personal and professional skills in order to help them to be competitive, aware, successful and bright ones.
Know and Can activities are aimed at the improvement of knowledge and skills of young people also encouraging them to lead a more active and beneficial life. Know and Can team has the capacity to reach an wide audience of young people, because it has many contacts with youth, schools, NGO working with young people and youth associations.
We are a public, state-run, Junior High school with students from the kindergarten to the 9th grade. Our school is located in Maia, outskirts of Porto, and lies within the Metropolitan Area of the Porto City.
Some of our students’ families live a difficult moment because many of them are unemployed although the social cultural environment and economical development of our students’ families is the Portuguese average. We observe dropout of students in the first two years of the 3rd cycle (7th and 8th grades).
At present our school has 2464 students almost 300 teachers and other staff. Our school project mission is to foster knowledge, true equality of opportunities, autonomy, creativity, critical sense, respect for others and nature, ability to solve concrete problems and inclusion.
APLOAD is a company structured into two different Departments, Evaluation & Social Planning and Landscape Architecture, each providing for different services and targeting specific clients and partners. The Department of Evaluation and Social Planning at APLOAD provides services under Evaluation of Projects, Project Design and Innovation, Social Research and Studies and Vocational Education and Training (VET) related services. This Department is involved, since its creation, in European Projects related to Citizenship and to Education & Training, namely, through the European Programmes “Lifelong Learning”, “Rights, Equality and Citizenship” and “Erasmus+”. Beyond the project’s activities, the Department also creates training curricula, provides training sessions and workshops directed to Education related professionals such as teachers, tutors and trainers, and to other professionals, in order to promote and to enhance their skills and capacities.
CARLOS V School
CARLOS V is a semi private school working with the regional authorities at the stages of Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary education and which teaches the curriculum established for the Region of Murcia. It is located in the town of Águilas.
We are an associated work cooperative that arises with the aims of 1) ensuring that each student achieves an integral development as a person and 2) offering a quality education that encompasses academic and human formation within the democratic principles of respect and tolerance from a non-denominational perspective (apolitical and secular). The main language of instruction is Spanish.
The school staff is a team of professionals who work enthusiastically in the development of a personalized educational model which responds to the needs of students, parents and teachers alike. This is why our project is open to the entire educational community, and especially to families, which we consider as partners in the teaching-learning process.
In our school there is a total of 60 teachers and 742 students.
DEFOIN Formacion para el Desarrollo y la Inserción
Career Development and Integration (DEFOIN) was born in 2009 with the idea of promoting the Training for Employment and Insertion of employed and unemployed workers, at a time when the economic crisis and the skill requirements of workers It was a crucial task.
DEFOIN has extensive experience in the comprehensive management of training plans, as well as specific solutions tailored to the need of design, management and delivery of continuing and occupational training for businesses and employed and unemployed.
DEFOIN managed plans offer training aimed at both employed and unemployed, as well as training demand by the company.
We also have a network of over 180 collaborating centers scattered around the country and accredited to conduct leading to the award of certificates of professionalism in training different professional areas.
Szkoła Podstawowa w Głogowie Małopolskim
Szkoła Podstawowa w Głogowie Małopolskim is a public school offering general education and operating under the authority of the Ministry of Education of Poland. There are over 1000 students at the age of 6-16 years old in our school. The teaching staff consists of 83 teachers. The students come from different economic and social levels, however there is a high percentage of those who come from deprived backgrounds with little schooling and unemployment or single-parent families.
The school, established in 1791, is one of the biggest schools in the Sub-Carpathian Province. It has initiated a number of activities at local and national levels, such as national competitions and charity events. We cooperate with various NGOs to fulfil both educational and cultural goals of the municipality. Our students cultivate traditions by performing both locally and internationally in the folk music group “Hanka”, they also attend classes in the local music school, which is our partner in organizing major cultural events.
Danmar Computers is a private company providing vocational training in the field of Information Technology and developing e-learning and customised ICT solutions. It deals with: trainings, developing programs and training materials, counselling, designing web pages and mobile applications, web campaigns and e-learning systems. The technical staff has capability to develop any modern web and mobile applications, utilizing database technologies, web servers and application servers. That includes social and cloud services, both from client and server side. Danmar Computers has designed and developed a project management system – AdminProject. It currently is the only product on the market dedicated to the management of European projects.
Korup School is a public school, and as such part of the Danish primary- and lower secondary school system, known as the Folkeskole. It is situated on the north-western fringes of Odense, the third largest town in Denmark with a population of about 175.000 inhabitants.
The school was built in 1955 and has later been extended. It has a sports centre which is also used by people and associations from the local community.
The school has three departments – primary school, secondary school and department for children with difficult learning disabilities. Primary and secondary school have approx. 450 pupils in 20 classes – 2 classes in each year group from grade 0 to 9th grade.
BrainLog is a Danish and Norwegian based organization, working on national and international level. Our fields of expertise lies within entrepreneurship, innovation, sport and wellbeing, sustainable development, non-formal education, and social inclusion.
We are involved in a number of Transnational European Projects and have established a network of reliable national and international partners.
